Towards Independence Occupational Therapy Ltd is an independent occupational therapy assessment service based in Essex and Suffolk. We provide assessments for adults requiring support due to to a wide variety of conditions resulting from illness, injury or ageing. We assess and investigate the activities you find challenging and suggest practical solutions to help you. These may include skill-building, environmental change, minor and major adaptations, specialist equipment and assistive technology. We focus entirely on what matters to you as an individual, aiming to restore or improve function and your quality of life.

Pricing
Our prices will be dependant on the services you need, but you can be assured that our prices will always be competitive whatever your needs.
For guidance, a home visit to assess and give guidance on basic equipment will cost £80. A full functional assessment, reccomendations and report is £400.

About Towards Independence
Towards Independence OT Consultancy Ltd is led by Christina Newton, an HCPC-registered occupational therapist with extensive experience across the NHS, social care and education. Christina has a long standing interest in working with older adults and those experiencing frailty, as well as those people with learning disabilities. She also has extensive expertise in equipment provision, seating, adaptations and assistive technologies.
Christina's practice is value-led, reflective and grounded in a commitment to supporting genuine independence in everyday life.
Christina is registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) under registration number OT088762, she is also a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists who also provide her professional indemnity insurance.
